While we all want happiness, it eludes us because our body and mind are under the control of afflictions and karma. Understanding that saṃsāric phenomena are unsatisfactory, we turn away from seeing them as the source of lasting bliss and joy, and we release unrealistic expectations of them.

We interact with the world around us through the filter of our mind — that’s why “things always turn out well” in life, there is no reason to worry. Because no matter what happens our mind will work out a way to explain or deal with circumstances. Everything is relative.
