Homer
History is a tricky thing,
It means nothing, yet forms me.
And still I shun it,
Trying to ignore who I was
So that I can be no one.
Yet, sometimes I wonder:
If the past is where you dwell,
Am I detached
By letting go of it —
Or are you?
And should I even care.
