As long as we apply sufficient attention to it, this site is just as alive as we are and it grows with us. Of course, that assumes we are breathing life into it. After all, electrons are just electrons without some kind of guidance — but isn’t that true for anything?

That’s why this project has been dead for weeks as I have attended to other possibly less important things. We’re always working on truthfully sorting out priorities, right? At least that’s what I tell myself to excuse abandoning work here for so long.

It is terrible to die of thirst in the ocean. Do you have to salt your truth so heavily that it does not even — quench thirst any more?

Neglecting long-term commitments has always been a problem. It’s a behavior I’ve been working on for years. And even though this project is one of my most valuable past-times, unfortunately it is no different: every year I insult it with soft indifference.

All this recent self-examination… and I am really not much different from my past self.

Maybe there is some insight here for me to gain about the arbitrary nature of our values — or maybe I simply have trouble admitting how lazy I can be.
