Not sure why before then we didn’t try growing as much as we can four years ago in Washington. Now we spend a lot of time and energy planning, planting shit, and killing slugs to keep it all alive and thriving. Maybe we’ll never be self-sufficient, but who cares.
Not that I'll recite any tired examples, but gardening is one of the greatest metaphors for life in general. The more we learn about cultivating these plants and optimizing for our surroundings what works and what doesn't, the better we communicate with ourselves and each other; crops may fail, but the experience always succeeds.
