I realize truth is relative, but she is often right. Her thoughtfulness helps. We don’t differ much but when we do, it is my cue to reconsider.
On the other hand, because of shallow thinking I have a long history of taking a wrong position. It is a trait that I constantly attempt to improve.

She is nearly the person I always wanted to be but, because of my start, was not. I never questioned myself as much as I have with her in my life. Sometimes that is uncomfortable; it only means I was not aware of how far I strayed.
Our infrequent dissonance is not what makes me uneasy, but the nature of the difference. It is not real. Nothing is.
Yet I still feel out of phase when it happens.
