Last year I wrote an entry here about a bird. A few years ago we named her because she visited us often and we love personifying animals. She still comes by. And she’s demanding. Is she a female? Who knows and we don’t care.

Almost every Stellar’s Jay is ‘Stella’, Douglas squirrels are ‘Bushworth’, multiple moose are meese, and bears? Well, we stay away from them. It would be great to have hummingbird visitors like in Washington, but the substitutes are familiar and plenty.
